PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which has excellent deodorizing capacity regeneration efficiency of a deodorizing catalyst filter by heating.SOLUTION: The air cleaner includes: a first filter with a catalyst attached to a surface for adsorbing and decomposing a smell component included in air flow that is passing through a heating means which is arranged so as to hold the first filter from the upstream side and the downstream side of the air flow and which is provided so as to transition to a contact state of being in contact with both surfaces of the first filter on the upstream side and the downstream side with respect to the air flow and an open state of separating from both surfaces, and which heats the first filter in the contact state and a control means for bringing the heating means into the open state during an air cleaning operation, and bringing the heating means into the contact state to heat the first filter when heating and regenerating the first filter.
