PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing apparatus that eliminates the need for electrical control and that allows efficient deodorization, as well as that is capable of controlling the flow rate.SOLUTION: A deodorizing apparatus 1 includes: a suction port 12 and an outlet port 14 a blower 20 that is provided within the airflow passage 2 communicating between these suction port and the outlet port a deodorizing filter 23 that has a honeycomb-like structure in which a number of cell type airflow holes 24 are provided and that is disposed in the deep side of the suction port within the airflow passage and a holding part 13 that rotatably holds the deodorizing filter such that the direction of airflow within the cell type airflow hole of the deodorizing filter with respect to the direction of suction at the suction port is changeable, and it is possible to control the flow rate by rotating the deodorizing filter.
