The present invention relates to an anti-aging and whitening cosmetic composition using a Receptaculum Nelumbinis extract containing a large amount of polyphenol components. According to the present invention, the Receptaculum Nelumbinis extract is prepared by the following steps: adding 70% ethanol which is 10 times greater weight than that of the extract immersing the same at a room temperature for 24 hours separating supernatant and precipitate and repeating the steps three times in the same way for extraction.
