PURPOSE: A handrail cleaning apparatus for an escalator or moving walk is provided to supply a clean environment by sterilizing a handrail without inconvenience. CONSTITUTION: A main body(200) accommodates a part of a handrail of an escalator or moving walk. A sterilization liquid spray unit(210) sterilizes a surface of a handrail by spraying sterilization liquid on the surface of the handrail. A hot wind drying unit(220) is formed in a space separated from the sterilization liquid spray unit in the main body. A UV sterilization unit(230) sterilizes the surface of the handrail by irradiating ultraviolet rays to the dried surface of the handrail.
