PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence observation apparatus by which normal tissue and abnormal tissue are precisely discriminated even if fluorochrome distributed in living tissue is localized.
SOLUTION: The fluorescence observation apparatus for living tissue is equipped with an excitation light optical system 9 to irradiate excitation light to simultaneously or time-sharingly excite first fluorochrome and second fluorochrome to living body tissue adhering or absorbing the first fluorochrome to selectively dye normal tissue and abnormal tissue in a living tissue and the second fluorochrome with fluorescence wavelength or absorption wavelength different from that of the first fluorochrome and a known concentration ratio against the first fluorochrome and an absorption ratio to a living body tissue, a fluorescence detecting part 3 to at least once detect fluorescence from the second fluorochrome prior to detecting fluorescence from the first fluorochrome excited by excitation light from the excitation light optical system, and a compensation processing part 18 to compensate information of fluorescence from the first fluorochrome detected by the fluorescence detecting part 3 based on information of fluorescence from the second fluorochrome detected by the fluorescence detecting part 3.
