PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrolysis apparatus which can treat a large amount of waste at once by completely treating, to the inside, even waste having high moisture content. SOLUTION: The center inside a pyrolysis furnace 2 is installed with an auxiliary convection tube 8 formed with a hollow tube and having a plurality of suction tubes 8a at its lower periphery. The opening part of the auxiliary convection tube 8 is provided so as to face a joining part 4a of a chimney 4 and the pyrolysis furnace 2. The chimney 4 communicates to the outside air, thereby generating suction force for air to the outside of the apparatus having lower pressure than the inside of the pyrolysis furnace 2. With this suction force, the magnetized air is sucked into the auxiliary convection tube 8 from the suction tubes 8a while passing through among piled waste inside the pyrolysis furnace 2, then discharged from the upper part of the auxiliary convection tube 8. As a result, convection of air is generated inside the pyrolysis furnace 2, and the magnetized air is evenly passed through the piled waste, thereby completely pyrolyzing the waste.
