PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner post which is restored even when a stretched wire is pulled by an animal at a corner part for changing a stretch direction of the wire in a permanent fence for animals inhibiting passage of animals.SOLUTION: A corner post CP installed at a corner part of an electric fence inhibiting passage of animals includes: a support post 7 embedded in a ground surface at a tip, erected perpendicularly on the ground, and having high rigidity wire holders 20 holding the plural wires 2 stretched by the support post 7 at a portion of the support post exposed from the ground surface and pulleys 11 each attached rotatably at a tip of the wire holder 20 and thereby enabling the wire 2 arranged around the pulley to be moved. When an additional tensile force is exerted on the wires 2 by means of plunging of an animal, the wire holders 20 moves the pulleys 11 from the support post 7 in a direction of reducing the additional tensile force. When the tensile force to the wires 2 is extinguished, the pulleys 11 are restored to an original position.
