PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an optical guide system for, when a nutrition catheter is orally or nasally inserted, reliably viewing the distal end position thereof as an image.SOLUTION: An optical fiber light guide 1 is inserted into a body of a patient, with it disposed in a nutrition catheter 2. A distal end 3 of the optical fiber light guide 1 radiates outgoing light 4 in a direction vertically to the guide longitudinal direction. Consequently, even in a state where the optical fiber light guide 1 is disposed in the body, the outgoing light can be observed percutaneously, regardless of the distal end position and direction of the guide.
