PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lentiviral vectors for gene therapy, cancer treatment, production of recombinant proteins, such as antibodies and vaccines, and other therapeutic purposes.SOLUTION: New lentiviral vectors contain helper sequences in opposite directions and/or minimally functional LTR sequences, which can be used to prepare high efficiency transduction vectors. Vectors are also designed to express silencing RNA and antisense polynucleotides.
