PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for daily measuring operation efficiency of a user such as an employee by using a simple device, and a method for measuring operation efficiency of a user by using a smartphone.SOLUTION: A posture discrimination method includes the steps of: measuring the inclination and acceleration of a smartphone every predetermined time using a gyro sensor and an acceleration sensor equipped to the smartphone； and determining whether a user is walking, standing, sitting or in a posture where the determination is impossible, based on the inclination and the acceleration measured every predetermined number of times the measurement is carried out.
