PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the resistance to rice plant pathogenic microorganisms and provide a rice plant transformant that has the resistance to the pathogenic microorganisms.SOLUTION: In rice plant, a method for increasing the resistance to rice plant pathogenic microorganism that includes the increase of the expression level of at least one kind of gene relating to the biological defense bearing a specific base sequence or at least one kind of its mutant genes is provided.
