PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a taste-enhancing agent for a coffee drink or the like and a milk drink capable of imparting excellent flavor, taste, body, bitterness, aftertaste to the coffee drink or the like and the milk drink by adding to the base of coffee for beverage use and provide the coffee drink or the like and the milk drink having flavor and taste comparable with regular coffee added with the taste-enhancing agent. SOLUTION: This taste-enhancing agent for the coffee drink or the like and the milk drink comprises an extract obtained by extracting roasted and crushed coffee beans with a water-alcohol mixed solvent at 10-40 deg.C for 10-60 days. The coffee drink or the like and the milk drink are prepared by heat sterilizing a mixed solution consisting of 97-99.98 wt.% coffee base prepared by using the coffee extract obtained by extracting roasted and crushed coffee beans with water at >=80 deg.C. and 0.02-3 wt.% extract obtained by extracting roasted and crushed coffee beans with the water-ethanol mixed solvent at 10-40 deg.C for 10-60 days.
