PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter made of a joint of two tubes which enables the tubes to be suitably joined with each other.SOLUTION: The suction catheter includes a catheter body 11, and the catheter body 11 is provided with a suction tube 14 having a suction rumen 17, and a guidewire tube 15 having a guide wire lumen 18 through which a guide wire is inserted. The suction tube 14 is produced by welding a proximal-side suction tube 21 and a distal-side suction tube 22 which is farther distal than the same, to each other. The guidewire tube 15 is set straddling the proximal-side suction tube 21 and a distal-side suction tube 22. The guidewire tube 15 includes a proximal-side guide tube 41 and a distal-side guide tube 42 which is farther distal than the proximal-side guide.
