Disclosed are a module for aquatic weed cultivation and a method for modular planting of aquatic weeds for the recovery of aquatic ecology the method comprises the following steps: 1) modular cultivation of aquatic weeds: using a pond with an earthen base or a concrete pond, each having a flat bottom as a base for aquatic weed cultivation, first laying a relatively thick underlayer (5), then laying an aquatic weed planting and cultivation layer (4), and finally laying a relatively thin top layer (3) next planting the aquatic weed on the top layer (3), with water introduced therein up to a suitable water level, and allowing the root system of the aquatic weed to go through the top layer (3) into the aquatic weed planting and cultivation layer (4), so as to complete the aquatic weed cultivation module 2) transporting of the aquatic weed: transporting the aquatic weed cultivation module to a site for an ecological recovery engineering project 3) quick planting of the aquatic weed: placing the aquatic weed cultivation module into a body of water at the site, and spreading out and affixing same in the place where the aquatic weed needs to be planted, so as to form an aquatic sod.
