PURPOSE: Armrests for an electromotive wheelchair are provided to allow a user to easily get on the wheelchair and to prevent safety accidents. CONSTITUTION: Armrests (110) for an electromotive wheelchair comprise a retaining bracket (120) which is fixed on the rear of the right and left frames of the wheelchair, is open on the front thereof, and is blocked on the rear thereof, a swing unit which swings an outer bar (122) to the rear of the wheelchair, an inner bar which is combined with the outer bar and has elasticity to support the arms, and a control unit for adjusting the height of the inner bar (124) against the outer bar. The swing unit comprises a swing block having a coupling protrusion, a swing shaft for swinging the outer bar rearwards, and a control bolt (135) for controlling the movement of the swing block.본 발명은 승하차를 용이하게 하면서 암레스트가 조절된 상태를 지속적으로 유지하여 이용자들을 승차감을 높이면서 이용과정에서 발생할 수 있는 안전사고의 우려를 배제할 수 있도록 한 전동휠체어용 암레스트에 관한 것으로서；후방에 등받이와 손잡이를 가지고 착석을 위한 시트를 가지고 구비되는 좌,우프레임과, 상기 좌,우프레임의 후미 양측과 전방에 설치되는 구동륜과 보조바퀴, 상기 좌,우프레임의 전방에 이용자의 발을 유지하기 위한 풋레스트와, 상기 구동륜은 제어하여 주행과 정지 및 방향전환을 위한 콘트롤러를 가지는 전동휠체어제 장착되는 암레스트를 구성함에 있어서；상기 암레스트는, 전방이 개방되고 후방이 막힌 상태로 전동휠체어의 좌,우프레임 후미 외측에 고정하는 유지브라켓과, 상기 유지브라켓에 아웃바를 결합하여 아웃바를 전동휠체어의 후방으로 스윙 가능하게 하는 스윙수단과, 상단에 팔을 지지할 수 있도록 쿠션을 가지고 아웃바에 결합되는 인너바와, 상기 아웃바의 중도에 설치하여 인너바를 아웃바에 대하여 높낮이 조절할 수 있게 하는 조절수단으로 구성하는 것이 특징이다.
