PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of more accurately recognizing the position of an insertion body inserted into a subject by a simpler structure.SOLUTION: When an ultrasonic module is inserted to a subject, a calculation means calculates a three-dimensional coordinate displacement of the ultrasonic module, and on the basis of the calculation result of the calculation means, a position specifying means specifies the position of the ultrasonic module inside the subject.
