PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical instrument for dental implant securing torque resistance and durability by disposing a gripping mechanism at a position different from a position to which the torque is applied, and retaining workability of the surgery.SOLUTION: An adapter includes: a polygonal female stationary part to be fixed to a dental driver, at a fixture-side end part in a through-hole and a wrench connection part for fitting a torque wrench, at an end part in the opposite side of the fixture side. The dental driver includes: a shaft body part including an upper shaft that is storable in the through-hole of the adapter, and a rotation transmission shaft that is formed at a fixture-side end part a polygonal male stationary part fitted with a female stationary part formed at the rotation transmission shaft side of the upper shaft and a projection part formed at a position different from the male stationary part of the upper shaft.
