A method for treating a patient includes encoding a therapeutic frequency in a file to be stored on a device having an audio jack with sufficient capabilities to deliver the specific treatment, applying electrodes connected to the device through the audio jack to the patient, and applying the treatment with the device. The therapeutic frequencies are applied to the patient as electrical energy waves.
