The present disclosure refers to a "self-irrigating" cultivation apparatus for growing plants. In particular, the cultivation apparatus comprises a pot and a flowerpot dish device coupled to said pot. The flowerpot dish device comprises a flowerpot dish container, adapted to contain an irrigation liquid, and at least one anti-insect protection body. The latter comprises a plate portion provided with through holes coupled, by means of at least one coupling element, to the flowerpot dish container or to the pot so as to prevent the access of insects to its interior.
