PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an ultraviolet absorption composition which has feeling of use and physical properties applicable to external preparations, cosmetics, coating materials, composite materials, and the like which has the excellent ultraviolet absorption function, the ultraviolet absorption composition being satisfied sufficiently regarding feeling of use due to having a good compatibility to the skin when used as external preparations or cosmetics, and exhibiting physical properties excellent in flex and strength without roughness and whitishness when used as coating materials or composite materials, and to develop a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The ultraviolet absorption composition contains a chitin nanofiber or chitosan nanofiber, and urocanic acid. The chitin nanofiber is manufactured by at least one deprotein process of organism-derived materials containing chitin, and at least one decalcification process followed by defibrating process under presence of acid.
