PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decompose proteins or protein aggregates hardly undergoing proteolysis to peptides or amino acids by a protease under a normal condition.SOLUTION: In a method of decomposing protein, hardly decomposable proteins or protein aggregates which do not undergo proteolysis by a conventional enzyme are placed under pressure in the presence of the enzyme. The three-dimensional structure of the proteins or protein aggregates is changed under pressure to a structure easily undergoing proteolysis by the enzyme.
