PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a sheet-like material in which cutting performance of a cutter for cutting a base material sheet can be prevented from being degraded, and thereby the sheet-like material can be manufactured efficiently and continuously.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a sheet-like material is provided for an absorbent article that comprises multiple absorbent units 4 including a long base part 2 and a water absorbing polymer 3 fixed on the surface of one side face of the long base part 2.
