PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut an expandable member with no risk of breaking a sheet.
SOLUTION: This method comprises: forming an embossed part 951 expanding outward by a predetermined circumferential length range on the outer periphery of a first roller 950, forming a lot of groups of a protruding parts 952 further on the outer surface of the embossed part 951 by forming groups of protruding parts spaced in an axial direction to be formed in circumferential direction at intervals, arranging the groups so that either of the protruding parts 952 is positioned at any position in axial direction with respect to the circumferential direction, making the first roller 950 face a second roller 960, sandwiching a plurality of filamentous expandable members 920 between a pair of sheets 910 and 930 in a stretched state to form a laminate, passing the laminate through between the first roller 950 and the second roller 960, and cutting each of the expandable members 920 by at least either of pressing or heating between the protruding parts 952 of the first roller and the second roller 960.
