The intelligent-type plant care system comprises: a label, which is stuck on a flowerpot in which a plant is cultivated, wherein the label includes a label graphic, and the label graphic includes information about the variety of a corresponding plant; a light sensor, which is attached to an inner wall of the flowerpot and is used for detecting information about the light intensity of a position where the flowerpot is located; and a mobile terminal, which is used for photographing the label, extracting the information, included in information about the label graphic in the label, about the variety, receiving the information, sent by the light sensor, about the light intensity, and then generating plant care information and displaying same for reminding. Also provided is an intelligent-type plant care method. The intelligent-type plant care system and method have the advantages of low cost, convenient use, accurate care, etc.
