An intelligent-type plant care system based on a mobile terminal. The system comprises: a label, which is stuck on a flowerpot and includes information about the variety of a corresponding plant; a light sensor, which is attached to an inner wall of the flowerpot and is used for detecting information about the light intensity of a position where the flowerpot is located and transmitting the information to a background server; a mobile terminal, which is used for photographing the label, and converting acquired information about a label graphic into information about a label code and transmitting same to the background server; and the background server, which is used for extracting, according to the information about the label code, basic information about plant care, re-generating, in combination with the information about the light intensity, relevant information about plant care and transmitting same to the mobile terminal for displaying. Also provided is an intelligent-type plant care method based on a mob
