The present invention relates to a method for the cosmetic (non-therapeutic) treatment of oily skin, comprising the steps consisting in: a)exposing the oily skin to a first quasi-monochromatic light of artificial origin having a dominant wavelength peak between 300 and 700 nm, better still between 400 and 600 nm, even better still between 560 and 620 nm, and in particular of around 590 nm, and b)applying to the oily skin a cosmetic composition comprising at least 1% by weight of hollow particles and preferably from 2% to 6% by weight of hollow particles, relative to the total weight of said composition, the hollow particles being hydrophobic silica aerogel particles.La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour le traitement cosmétique (non thérapeutique) d'une peau grasse, comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) exposer la peau grasse à une première lumière quasi-monochromatique d'origine artificielle ayant un pic de longueur d'onde dominant compris entre 300 et 700 nm, mieux encore entre 400 et 600 nm, et même mieux encore entre 560 et 620 nm, et en particulier autour de 590 nm, et b) appliquer sur la peau grasse une composition cosmétique comprenant au moins 1 % en poids de particules creuses et de préférence de 2 % à 6 % en poids de particules creuses, par rapport au poids total de ladite composition, les particules creuses étant des particules d'aérogel de silice hydrophobe.
