PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide genetic polymorphisms associated with stroke, methods of detection and uses thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention is based on the discovery of genetic polymorphisms that are associated with stroke and related pathologies, such as other vascular diseases.
