PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine capable of giving a new sensory feeling by combining the operations of multiple massage parts that are independently movable in a body height direction.SOLUTION: A chair type massage machine includes: a first massage part 6 capable of massaging the upper half body of a treated person a second massage part 7 capable of massaging the lower half body of the treated person and a control unit 31 for operating the first massage part 6 and the second massage part 7 in response to a predetermined program. The first massage part 6 and the second massage part 7 can respectively independently movable in a body height direction. The control unit 31 allows the first massage part 6 to be positioned at the shoulders or lower back of the treated person to perform massage and allows the second massage part 7 to move toward a head side till the hips of the treated person.
