The present invention relates to a device and a method for processing hatchery waste, and more particularly, to a device and a method for processing hatchery waste, capable of producing an organic material which can be utilized in the production of an organic fertilizer by processing waste discharged from a hatchery. The device for processing waste comprises: a waste storage part for storing waste； a waste fermentation and sterilization part for fermenting and sterilizing waste； a heating medium oil supply part for heating and circulating the heating oil to supply heat to the waste fermentation and sterilization part； and a steam cooling part for cooling steam discharged from the waste fermentation and sterilization part and discharging the condensed water.본 발명은 부화장 폐기물 처리장치 및 처리방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는, 부화장에서 배출되는 폐기물을 처리하여 유기비료제조에 활용할 수 있는 유기물질을 생산할 수 있는 부화장 폐기물 처리장치 및 처리방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 폐기물 처리장치는 폐기물을 저장하는 폐기물 저장부； 폐기물을 발효 및 살균시키는 폐기물 발효 및 살균부； 열매체유를 가열 및 순환하여 폐기물 발효 및 살균부에 열을 공급하는 열매체유 공급부； 및 폐기물 발효 및 살균부로부터 방출되는 수증기를 냉각시켜 응축수로 배출하는 증기 냉각부；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
