Disclosed is an external preparation for the skin which exhibits excellent remedying effects on rough or dull skin, pimples and the like, which are inherent in the use of chemical peeling preparations, and which is easy to wash off whilst being of a suitable viscosity which does fall off in drips, is easy to apply, causes little irritation and is highly safe. Said preparation comprises (a) 1.0-7.0 mass% of one or more acids selected from among α-hydroxy acids, (b) 0.1-3.0 mass% of crosslinked sodium N, N-dimethylacrylamide-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate copolymer, (c) 0.1-3.0 mass% of an associating thickener such as (polyethylene glycol-240/decyltetradeceth-20/hexamethylene-diisocyanate) copolymer and has a pH of 2.0-5.0.La présente invention concerne une préparation externe pour la peau qui présente dexcellents effets remédiant à une peau rugueuse et un teint terne, à des boutons et analogues, qui sont inhérents à lutilisation de préparations chimiques de peeling, et qui est facile à éliminer par lavage tout en étant dune viscosité appropriée qui ne goutte pas, qui est facile à appliquer, qui provoque peu dirritation et qui est largement sans risque.
