The invention is directed to a liquid, aqueous formulation of coagulation Factor VIII, comprising a Factor VIII molecule, a calcium salt in a concentration of more than 10 mM, and a saccharide and/or polyol in a concentration of at least 100 mM, wherein the formulation has a p H from 5.5-7.5. The invention furthermore provides a method for optimising a liquid formulation of coagulation Factor VIII, the method comprising the steps of: (i) Providing one or more liquid formulations comprising Factor VIII to be tested (ii) Adding a protein denaturant to said liquid formulations, and incubating the resulting solutions for a predetermined period of time (iii) Analysing the incubated solutions of (ii) for the presence of dissociated Factor VIII and (iv) Selecting one or more formulation(s) having a desired low level of dissociated Factor VIII.Linvention concerne une formulation, aqueuse, liquide, de Facteur de coagulation VIII, comprenant une molécule de Facteur VIII, un sel de calcium dans une concentration supérieure à 10 mM, et un saccharide et/ou un polyol dans une concentration dau moins 100 mM, la formulation ayant un pH allant de 5,5-7,5. Linvention concerne en outre un procédé doptimisation dune formulation liquide du Facteur de coagulation VIII, le procédé comprenant les étapes de : (i) apport dune ou plusieurs formulations liquides comprenant le Facteur VIII à tester (ii) ajout dun dénaturant protéique auxdites formulations liquide et incubation des solutions résultantes pendant une période prédéterminée de temps (iii) analyse des solutions incubées de (ii) pour la présence de Facteur VIII dissocié et (iv) sélection dune ou plusieurs formulations ayant un taux faible souhaité de Facteur VIII dissocié.
