1489976 Stabilizing soils NITTO CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO Ltd 29 Oct 1975 [8 Nov 1974] 44680/75 Heading E1F A soil stabilizing composition comprises (a) an aqueous solution of sodium silicate having a molar ratio of SiO 2 /Na 2 O of 3.1 to 3.3, (b) a chloride, sulphate or nitrate of aluminium, magnesium or iron, and (c) citric acid, tartaric acid or lactic acid, the sodium silicate concentration of the composition being from 8.5-30% by weight. Preferably the amount of component (c) is from 0.5-20 moles/mole of the component (b).
