A process for the production of a health drink, in which a defined type of Basidiomycetes fungi, belonging to the family Polyporaceae, and Indian hydrangea tea are used as starting materials and are extracted with many times the weight with water, up to tens of times the weight of the mixture, at a predetermined temperature. The resulting extract is acidified with an organic acid and is allowed to stand at low temperature, so that insoluble material is allowed to precipitate. The insoluble material is separated from the extract system and the resulting filtrate, after transfer to a suitable container, is thermally sterilised.
