PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable nonwoven fabric without exuding a plaster to the surface on the side opposite to the coated surface even when the thickness is reduced and to provide a method for producing the stretchable nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: The stretchable nonwoven fabric is obtained by entanglement of mutual constituent fibers of a fiber web including crimped fibers as a main component. Furthermore, in the stretchable nonwoven fabric, crimped fibers are subjected to water-repellent treatment with a water-repellent treating liquid containing a water-repellent treating agent using a beam dyeing machine after developing the crimps of the latently crimpable fibers.
