PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed leaving detection device capable of reliably detecting the fact that a patient has left a bed, etc.SOLUTION: A bed leaving detection device 1 includes a panel-type pressure sensor 2, a setting switch 3, and a control circuit 4 to control whether or not to generate a bed leaving warning signal S on the basis of a contact signal output from the panel-type pressure sensor 2 and a setting content of the setting switch 3. A detection surface 27 of the panel-type pressure sensor 2 is divided into a plurality of split detection surfaces 28 that generate contact signals independently of each other. The setting switch 3 sets each of the split detection surfaces 28 to an area where notification is required and an area where notification is not required.
