PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant which has high antioxidant activity.SOLUTION: The antioxidant contains the hydrolysate of a protein composition including soybean glycinin by &ge60 wt.% of the total protein. In the antioxidant, the content of peptide with a molecular weight of <500 in the hydrolysate is &ge50 wt.% to the total content of peptide and free amino acid. The cytotoxicity inhibitor contains the antioxidant as an active ingredient. The hepatopathy inhibitor contains the antioxidant as an active ingredient.
