To provide a communication device whose cover member can be held as it is at a covered posture and an exposed posture.SOLUTION: In a communication device, a shaft part 14 is provided with a base end part 14a whose peripheral surface is formed as a circumference surface and a chamfered part 14b formed by chamfering the peripheral surface, and the chamfered part 14b has a radial cross-section formed as a shape that matches every 180 degree rotation. Further, in the communication device, a main body case 2 is provided with a pivotal support part 22 having a shaft hole 21 through which the shaft part 14 can penetrate and capable of pivotally supporting the base end part 14a, and also, in the inside of the main body case 2 and in the transverse direction of the pivotal support part 22, an elastic member 24 is attached.
