PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope including, in a control section in addition to a bending section control device, a second control device allowing control of pulling, holding, holding release, and relaxation of second controlling wires by a hand gripping the control section.SOLUTION: This endoscope includes, in the control section 3: a bending section control knob 6 a hardness-adjusting lever 7 a rod member 30 moving to a first direction or a second direction by turning the lever 7 and an elastic member 70 including a pair of abutment parts elastically deformed to an expanding direction and a contracting direction by the movement of the rod member 30 to the first direction and the second direction. The rod member 30 includes a shaft body 31.
