To provide an organic-inorganic composite material not only having excellent sustainability of bioactive functions and sustained releasability of antibiotic, but also having durability and environmental compatibility, and to provide a method for producing the composite material and a processed product including the composite material.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the organic-inorganic composite material having the sustained releasability of the antibiotic includes using an inorganic layered compound as a main raw material and inserting one or more kinds of selected antibiotics having bioactive functions as interlaminar ions between the layers of the inorganic layered compound by a cation-exchange reaction to carry the compounds. The organic-inorganic composite material obtained thereby and the processed product using the composite material are also provided.
