The blade (2) rotates in a horizontal plane at the end of the shaft (3) of the motor (4) and is pinned (11) to an underlying disc (10). A peg (12) passing through a bearing (13) at the centre of the cover plate (7) is terminated in a bevel gear (14) driving the horizontal shaft (15). Other equipment for garden purposes can be coupled to the free end (15a) of this shaft. The cover plate (7) is carried by struts (8) screwed (9) to the motor baseplate. ADVANTAGE - Mower can be adapted e.g. to stationary or mobile shredders, choppers, hoes, snowploughs, pumps, compressors etc.
