The invention relates to a feed additive for poultry, supporting weight gain of poultry and maintenance of normal intestinal microflora, which includes a high-fat flour derived from insects and/or protein-chitin extracts of insect origin in an amount providing about 0.05 - 30% by weight of insect flour and/or protein-chitin extracts of insect origin per total weight of the feed and the use thereof for feeding poultry, as well as to a method of feeding poultry.L'invention concerne un additif alimentaire pour la volaille, permettant le gain de poids des volailles et l'entretien d'une microflore intestinale normale, ledit additif comprenant une farine riche en matières grasses dérivée d'insectes et/ou d'extraits de protéine-chitine provenant d'insectes en une quantité représentant environ 0,05 à 30 % en poids de farine d'insectes et/ou d'extraits de protéine-chitine provenant d'insectes par poids total de l'aliment. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de cet additif alimentaire pour l'alimentation des volailles, ainsi qu'un procédé de nourrissage des volailles.
