The present invention relates to ready-to-cook vegetable mixtures. Pan-ready vegetables offered on the market are of the type in which a vegetable mixture which has not been further treated is located in a retail package together with a separate sauce concentrate. On the one hand, the separate packing and unpacking is laborious and on the other, during preparation, the uneven distribution of the sauce concentrate over the vegetable mixture has become noticeable as a disadvantage. The invention creates a remedy here in that it creates a production process which enables an even coating of the vegetable mixture by a sauce seasoning, as a result of which simple and rapid preparation and more pleasant consumption are ensured. According to the invention, the sauce seasoning is first homogenised and suitably heated and then evenly distributed over the vegetable mixture in the course of spreading. <IMAGE>
