Provided is a separating agent for chromatography, having excellent ability to separate reducing sugars and other organic compounds, and whereby anomer separation and Schiff base formation can be prevented particularly in sugar analysis. This separating agent for chromatography comprises a porous base material which is surface-modified by a silane functional group, and is represented by the formula below.
