<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railing for a hospital stretcher for transporting or the like and its locking mechanism for reliably carrying out to raise or to retreat the railing without misoperation. <；P>；SOLUTION: The railing of a hospital stretcher for transporting or the like is provided along a side edge of a bed part 11 and includes a railing body 21 equipped with rotary shafts 22, 23 at both end parts and rotation supporting parts 12, 13 for rotatably supporting the railing body through the rotary shafts.
