PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extendible working machine having a rod part which is lightweight and capable of being extended further long.SOLUTION: An extendible working machine includes a rotation/drive section, a working section, and an extendible rod section which connects the rotary driving section and the working section, and transmits a rotational force to the working section. The rod section includes an extendible tube body and a shaft body which extends in an axial direction in the tube body and is extendible together with the tube body. The tube body includes an outer tube, and an inner tube movable in the outer tube, and the shaft body includes a drive shaft which is rotatably held in the outer tube by a plurality of bearings, and a pipe shaft which is rotatably held in the inner tube. A plurality of grooves are formed in a helical form on the surface of the drive shaft.
