PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which improves wearing properties by firmly fixing a deviation preventing adhesive layer on shorts and by preventing the deviation or the twist during the wearing and improves operability by eliminating the waste of the material and by preventing a release paper from being peeled or wrinkled during machine conveyance in the manufacturing process of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1 having an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 and a liquid-impermeable back side sheet 2 and the deviation preventing adhesive layer 8 which is formed on a side of a surface where underwear abuts and is covered with a peeling material 9, the deviation preventing adhesive layer 8 is covered with a piece of the peeling material 9 and is formed over the entire region of the peeling material 9. The deviation preventing adhesive layer 8 has a convex part 8a on a front end side 8A of the absorbent article 1 and a concave part 8b on a rear end side 8B of the absorbent article 1 in a planar view, and shapes of the convex part 8a and the concave part 8b are configured to match each other.
