An electrophysiology (EP) catheter (10, 110) has a longitudinal axis (A) and includes a catheter body (12) having a proximal region (14) a neck region (18), and a distal portion (16, 116). In an embodiment, the distal portion (16) is predisposed into a loop consisting of a single, helical revolution when in a non-compressed state. An axis (a) of the single, helical revolution is offset from the longitudinal axis (A). In another embodiment, the distal portion (116) is predisposed into a plurality of loops comprising at least a first loop and a second loop when in a non-compressed state, wherein a majority of the first loop and a majority of the second loop is disposed within a common plane that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A). The EP catheter (10, 110) further includes a plurality of electrodes (20) coupled to the distal portion (16, 116).Linvention porte sur un cathéter délectrophysiologie (EP) (10, 110) qui présente un axe longitudinal (A) et qui comprend un corps de cathéter (12) ayant une région proximale (14) une région de col (18) et une partie distale (16, 116). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, la partie distale (116) est prédisposée en une pluralité de boucles comportant au moins une première boucle et une seconde boucle lorsquelle est dans un état non comprimé, une majorité de la première boucle et une majorité de la seconde boucle étant disposées à lintérieur dun plan commun qui est sensiblement perpendiculaire à laxe longitudinal (A). Le cathéter EP (10, 110) comprend en outre une pluralité délectrodes (20) couplées à la partie distale (16, 116).
