The two-disk caster has a grit container with two funnel-shaped sub-units. Each sub-unit has a rotating base (14,15) with metering devices arranged on the sub units. An electric cylinder (26,27) is arranged, particularly transverse to a travel direction (22) of the caster in an area between the throw disks. The axes of the throw disks are opposite in the travel direction, where the disks engage with outwardly extending strut rod (41,42) on the rotating base by a lever linkage (33-37).
