PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide generation system that can generate carbon dioxide with high efficiency and with a simple system.SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide generation system according to the present invention comprises a photocatalyst 10, a carrier 11 for immobilizing the photocatalyst 10, and a liquid supply means 6 for supplying a liquid 40 containing an organic molecule that decomposes by the photocatalytic action of the photocatalyst 10 and generates carbon dioxide, to the photocatalyst 10.
