PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device and a medical examination table capable of preventing a patient support part for supporting a patient from making relative rotation with respect to a base, and reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A lifting device 1 includes a fixed shaft 12 extending in a height direction H, which is fixed to a base 11, a lifting member 40 on whose upper part a seat support part 14 for supporting a patient is connected, and which is lifted and lowered in the height direction H with respect to the fixed shaft 12, and a hydraulic cylinder 30 for lifting and lowering the lifting member 40 with respect to the fixed shaft 12. The fixed shaft 12 is composed of a columnar body having a fixed shaft side chamfered portion 121 chamfered in a planar form extending in an axial direction on the outer peripheral surface of the columnar body 12x.
